In the Norris School District, we believe learning occurs at all levels for systematic change, so all staff engages weekly in the systematic design of our innovative framework starting with the WHY, HOW and WHAT to make our vision come to life. Participants will learn how we continually engage staff in the design to gain perspective from different lenses; then transfer, apply, share and commit to developing responsive enduring practices that are the fiber of our work. Norris’ focus on learner agency invites an entirely new way of designing learning and the structures that support it. We will share our approach with other learner-centered leaders with the hope that our practice will inspire new and fresh ideas that you can weave into your own. This workshop will include a guided design session where participants will delve into one of the core elements of our macrocosm to understand how their vision connects to our work and where they can develop the WHY, HOW and WHAT from their lense to find their next best place for iteration.
