Understanding learner agency is really the key to learner-centered education. This session will highlight the seven components of learner agency (motivation, engagement, choice, voice, ownership, self-efficacy, purpose) and share both incremental and transformational examples for increasing agency. Based on the work by Barbara Bray, the continuums provide educators with an incremental roadmap for higher personalization. The research is clear; students need to drive their learning. Attend this session to learn how to leverage this information and the strategies to increase learner agency.
