How has transitioning to standards based assessment changed the way we look at assessments? What makes an assessment valid, reliable and fair? We will explore different assessment systems together as we develop a common language deepening your understanding of various uses of assessment including formative, summative, interim and benchmark assessment. In addition, you will begin to develop your own implementation plan for a balanced assessment system in your classroom.
