Did you ever hear the saying, "5% of the students take 95% of your energy?" Have you tried EVERYTHING and feel like you're out of options? Do you see the GOOD beyond the challenge? This presentation will introduce you to the work of Howard Glasser who has created an approach to working with students that is about promoting positive relationships through simple practices. It was developed to guide intense or difficult students into their own greatness, but has proven highly effective for all. It is ultimately a philosophy for creating healthy relationships while gently and steadfastly refusing to give energy to negative behaviors while enforcing rules in a simple, powerfully effective way. Walk away with strategies to build students' hearts tomorrow while opening minds for learning potential.
