Justify your Existence and Demonstrate your Learning. Student Driven Assessments for Project-Based Learning Cultures Paul Tweed and Liz Seubert, Wildlands School Bring your team and begin the process of asking the key questions to develop your own PBL evaluation system that puts student on stage, and in control of reviewing and improving their learning. Instead of breathing in information and regurgitating facts, having students understand and defend their learning is more meaningful. Real learning is whole person learning. When students are given the opportunity to be in a learning community that values their individuality, develops meaningful relationships, trust, and teamwork, they can become their own best evaluator and advocate. Learn how to hold authentic conversations and build in manageable situations that allow students to talk through their learning. What questions do you ask? What kind of conversations do you have? What ways can students demonstrate learning?. Join Paul and Liz as they review and explain ways the staff at Wildlands have developed a student driven assessment system.
