Expedition Based Learning - Educational Model Fair & Share
In Expeditionary Learning schools, students spend most of their time engaged in purposeful, rigorous "learning expeditions." These special expeditions are the core of the curriculum. Project Based Learning - Educational Model Fair & Share
Project Based Learning schools utilize an instructional approach built upon authentic learning activities that engage student interest and motivation. These activities are designed to answer a question or solve a problem and generally reflect the types of learning and work people do in the everyday world outside the classroom. Project Based Learning is a systematic teaching method that engages students in learning essential knowledge and life-enhancing skills through an extended, student-influenced inquiry process structured around complex, authentic questions and carefully designed products and tasks.

STEM/STEAM - Educational Model Fair & Share
Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) schools’ approach to education is designed to revolutionize the teaching of subject areas such as mathematics and science by incorporating technology and engineering into the regular curriculum by creating a “meta-discipline.” STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This program was started by Judith A. Ramaley, former director of the National Science Foundation’s education and human resources division.

STEM Education attempts to transform the classroom by encouraging a curriculum that is driven by problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning, that requires students to actively engage in a situation in order to find its solution.
